Turf TV signs up Ladbrokes
Turf TV, the Licensed Betting Office (LBO) television pictures supplier, today announced that Ladbrokes had agreed to sign up to its service.
In a deal which will last for at least five years, all of Ladbrokes’ 2200 betting shops will receive pictures from Turf TV’s 31 contracted racecourses from January 1 2008.
The agreement comes hot on the heels of a similar deal with Coral and means that, when Turf TV’s full service starts on January 1, over 6,500 LBOs in the UK and Ireland (c.75% of the total market) will be taking it.
Alan Morcombe, executive chairman of Turf TV, said: “I am delighted that Ladbrokes have decided to come on board and welcome them to Turf TV with open arms.
“The Ladbrokes contract means that, just one year after we announced our intentions, Turf TV will have the overwhelming majority of betting shops signed up by the time we start our full service next week.
“The message is clear: what we promise we deliver. Our promise now to our LBO clients is that Turf TV will do everything it can to raise the standards of betting shop picture provision and enhance the betting shop experience of their clients, to the benefit of everyone.”
