TURF TV take on the 3 Peaks Challenge

TURF TV take on the 3 Peaks Challenge

A team of four from Teddington based Turf TV will take on the gruelling 3 Peaks Challenge in July.

The quartet will be aiming to summit the UK’s three highest mountains – in order of climb Ben Nevis in Scotland; Scafell Pike in the Lake District, and Snowdon in Wales – all within a 24‐hour period and unsupported.

Taking on the challenge is Director of Operations, Ken Reid, along with the TurfTV operations team of Johanna MacGinn, Hannah Sansbury and Matt Downes.  Driving & ground support will be provided by Graham Mepsted.

The team will be pushing themselves in aid of The Greatwood Charity, who rescues and cares for neglected and destitute racehorses. More information on the equine charity is available at www.racehorsesgreatwood.org

Speaking about the challenge Ken Reid said: “Well, we’re not exactly the fittest bunch. I‘m sure trying to climb one of these peaks will be hard enough, let alone three without any sleep. We’ve been training hard and I am sure the knowledge that it’s for such a worthwhile cause will keep us going.”
